Thanks to the RNIB, Eva gets music therapy every Friday afternoon. This is amazing for Eva, and Shane comes to the house bringing a carload of stuff with him. Below is just a snippet of what a Friday can look like.

You are a Star!

So Eva got pupil of the week this week in her class at school! Proud moment for us! She has taken really well to school and they love her there. We have been really impressed with how natural the school process has been for Eva. Yesterday she came home with a library book, and on Friday past she had been making scones in HE!! She did end up with the scone mix around her, but the fact that the teaching staff try to make school life as regular as possible is amazing.

Her award was for good sitting in her new chair, and reaching for things. Not your mainstream achievements, however, the school recognise that for Eva this is a big thing and they are ready to celebrate that. I like that. It could be easy to look at it and dismiss it as being a simple thing, but they didn’t.

2 and a half weeks into her school life and she has already got her first award. She’s going to do better than her daddy!

Welcome, welcome, welcome!

At long last, we have managed to get this blog up and running. It’s something we have wanted to do for a long time, but with one thing and another, never got it sorted.

Eva loving life!

There are so many people who have, and are supporting us through this journey, that we felt a simple way of keeping everyone up to date would be through a website. We aim to post regularly, giving updates on fundraising, and what we are spending the money on, to help Eva in her journey through life. Every day for us is a learning curve, and we don’t profess to know all the answers, however, we invite you to travel this road with us, and together we’ll have some laughs and shed some tears.
